Small Works in Watercolors & Oils
Art director, graphic designer for a span of 24 years, my professional career had occupied much of my time.
In 1979, I attended School of Visual Arts, NYC, Silvermine School of Art, New Canaan, CT, studied abroad and under the tutelage of internationally known artists/instructors. A resident of Chester, CT.
In ‘98-’99 my works were accepted in important juried shows the likes of Northeast Annual in Silvermine,CT, National Academy of Design-173rd Annual Exhibition and Nexus Gallery in New York, NY.
My paintings have been inspired by nature. At times they are a blend of people, animals and architectural structures; grounded in design, harmony and color. My style of painting can vary from loose when I am plein-air painting and in my studio to a more deliberate intent to evoke an emotion or a concentration on a decorative style or single detail.
I enjoy the new medium of the digital world but am passionate about creating with brush, pen to paper, to evoke a response or sentiment to the observer.
